Minister of Agriculture Delivers a speech at UCAN

Gholamreza Nouri, Minister of Agriculture of Iran, gave a talk at UCAN during the 13th National Agricultural Economics Conference. He stated "food security is of utmost importance for both current and future generations of the country. Nouri highlighted the need for scientific and innovative techniques to address challenges including water shortage, climate change, soil erosion, and lack of investment. In addition, he underlined the importance of securing sustainable food security. Nouri acknowledged the importance of large-scale production chains while emphasizing the need to provide support for small production units and operators. The Ministry of Agriculture remains focused on rural development in his programs, despite as the majority of crops production still depends on rural communities and farmers.
