About Digital Technology Service Center

The Digital Technology Service Center (DTSC) center in College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the University of Tehran (UTCAN) has officially started its work in 2005. The DTSC center is established under supervision of the campus research and technology department to accelerate the development of campus-wide communication and information technology and to provide faculties, educational centers, research institutes and campus affiliates with specialized and consulting services.  The DTSC has been authorized in advancing DTSC decision-making on campus.

The DTSC has the ability to provide specialized and consulting services to the campus community on a computer-assisted level. The center has high-speed, reliable, and advanced networking equipment’s and oversees a majority of the network development and installation of new campus-wide networks. This center is in charge of specialized services such as website design and implementation, faculty databases, various software and hardware services, telecommunication, radio, fiber, wireless and router settings, modems, fiber switches and IP switching, etc.

 Center Services:

  • Maintenance including evaluation, designing, planning and supplying of hardware, software, network and DTSC infrastructure at campus level
  • Offering Specialized services such as creating radio, fiber, wireless, router settings, modems, fiber switches, and IP assignments to computers connected to the university intranet
  • Building, designing and implementation as well as updating of campus websites, colleges and departments, offices and units
  • Setup and support for various campus servers
  • Enabling access to internet outside the university network
  • Creating and activating temporary user’s identity
  • Educating, supporting and providing software services at various university-based systems
  • Bug fixes and support for campus-wide hardware systems and equipment
  • Offering specialized and consulting services to the campus community on campus
  • Owning student computer site equipped with 100 PCs
  • Possessing a video site equipped with a video projector and a smart board
  • Providing IT education services
  • Paying attention to continuous learning and enhancing the technical capabilities of colleagues
